Tree Trunk

Have you ever studied a Palm Tree trunk up close?  Well, here is your chance.

I don't know what species of palm this is but the trunk is very cool looking.  I think it shows the growth of the tree.  Maybe each piece protruding from the trunk is were the leaves came off.  Just guessing because I really don't know.  Still it make for interesting photography.

Ice Sculpture

One of the "Coolest" things that we got to see on the cruise was the man who did all their Ice Sculpting.  He turned a 300 pound block of ice into an eagle in a matter of 15 to 20 minutes.  He used 3 tools and none of them were gas powered.  Ice sculpting is part of a family business for him.  The training he received has been handed down from generation to generation.  They gave us a lot more facts about him and the art form but I can't remember them.

I wonder?

I wonder what this critter was that was left on mom's bed?  We have be trying to figure it out but we just don't know.  Maybe you can figure it out.  It looks like a bottom, but the bottom of what?

Cattots

Have you every seen a "Cattot?"

When we were getting ready to go on our cruise we stayed over night in Wichita and the hotel had a restaurant on site.  We had dinner there and on the menu they had listed as a side dish "Baby Cattots".  We all started laughing because we new it was a misspelling.  We decided to have some fun with our waiter.  We ask him what baby cattots were and he just smiled and said that it was a typo.  Well, our brains were all trying to figure out how we could have fun with the "Cattots" and oh did the juices start flowing.  We asked the head waitress for a few baby carrots so we could play a joke on our waiter and she was all over having fun at our waiters expense.  She brought us 3 carrots and toothpicks.  Then we got creative and made some "Baby Cattots!"  Wait till you see our "Baby Cattots!"

Check out the "Babies!"
